Bilingual Safety Compliance Inspector

10:00 am - 6:30 pm Monday - Friday. Sat. as Required $13.00 - $14.50

Summary
Provide assistance to the Safety’s leadership team in designing safety protocols. Initiate and implement safety measures in work areas. Inspect work areas to ensure that the organization remain compliant with federal, state, and local safety requirements. Establish and manage first aid centers on work premises. Adhere, model, and enforce corporate safety guidelines and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Carry out plant inspections on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis at our food facilities.
  • Record keeping/scan safety documents into Smart Search.
  • Ensure that safety files and records are maintained weekly, in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Stock first aid cabinets, medicine cabinets, and feminine hygiene vending cabinets. 
  • Maintain and provide proper inventory of necessary hand tools for productions (i.e. thermometers, knives, and rulers.)
  • Responsible for equipment identification such as engraving tools and making labels. 
  • Maintain and issuing personal protective equipment to staff.
  • Recertification of Arc Flash Gloves. 
  • Empty lockers and keep data updated with new starts and terms.
  • Keep all safety and production supply shelves stocked and sanitized all equipment returned to the safety office.
  • Monitor popper safety practices throughout the plant such as popper usage of personal protective equipment and correct labeling. Replacing faded and peeling safety labels throughout the facilities. 
  • Complete miscellaneous reports and memos as requested by superiors.
  • Empty biohazard containers and process as required per bloodborne pathogens standards.
  • Answer questions and provide assistance to those who pass through the safety office looking for help. 
  • Render first aid/CPR when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Three months related work experience. An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered.

Language Skills
Must be bilingual in English & Spanish.

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
Driver's License OSHA 10 hour certification First Aid Certification
