Purchasing Assistant

1st Shift $17 - $19.00

Summary
Plans and organizes to meet company ingredient/supply of materials needs for production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Possess thorough knowledge of an ERP system and demonstrate adherence to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with factory schedulers and other purchasing/supply chain staff to plan and communicate schedule changes.
  • Inputs advance production schedule into the ERP System.
  • Help with projects that come up and need attention such as inventory issues and general housekeeping.
  • Assist in reviewing and clearing the defective material areas located throughout the Foods plant.
  • Participates in cycle counting activities including year-end inventory count tasks.
  • Miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Minimum 2 years purchasing related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks is desired, however, not required.
