Inventory Specialist (Maintenance)

Summary
Responsible for the overall inventory of all parts plant wide.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times in representing Abbyland with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Do all the physical receiving for the building, and ensure all items get delivered to the proper places in a timely manor.
  • Organize shops so parts are in the correct assigned place
  • Do cycle counts of parts that have a high use.
  • Ensure the inventory check list from the Maintenance purchaser is counted and corrected in CDC every morning.
  • Take care of the physical check in of parts during receiving.
  • Cross train to fill in, and help when a parts team member is absent.
  • Ability to multi task and meet demands of a fast paced work environment.
  • Must have above average computer skills ie.. Exel, and Word.
  • Maintain data information.  Understand computer systems and running reports on request.
  • Maintain CDC system and work with parts team to ensure the system is current.
  • Possess above average phone skills to communicate requirements to suppliers.
  • Ability to take on large projects and see them to completion in a timely manor.
  • Help find parts for shops when emergencies arise.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED is required

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
Drivers license
