This position is responsible for the efficient and accurate cooking and smoking of all products on the assigned shift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Education & Experience
High school education or general education degree (GED). Associate’s degree is desirable. Experience in a meat/sausage facility desirable.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating schedules, procedure manuals, safety rules, MSDS sheets and maintenance instructions. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Should possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs, push and pull 1000lbs plus and stay on feet for long extended periods of time in a warm humid environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee has specific vision abilities required. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.While performing the duties of this job the employee can expect noise levels in the environment will generally be in the moderate range.
