Quality Department Employee

1st & 2nd Shift $15.90 - $16.90

Summary
As member of our quality department you will be working in Process Control and have the ability to advance to Temp Taker and QC Technician.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Process control inspector will verify product flow for raw and cooked product, monitoring yields and perform checks for product appearance and compare current product vs. specs, if product deviates then will make recommendations to management regarding changes on the product.

  • Temp Taker will take temperatures, fill out paperwork, let supervisor know about problems with shape, low temps, color, etc.  They will take weights of products.  Employee will need to know how to divert unacceptable product.

  • The Quality Assurance Technician will verify the cleanliness of the plant, monitor and validate Critical Control Points (CCP’s), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform daily room checks ensuring products being produced meet all USDA regulations and customer specifications.

Education & Experience
High school education required.

Language Skills
Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong helpful.

Physical Demands
The employee (by themselves) must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to withstand walking, lifting, bending, repetitive arm, shoulder and wrist motion.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in an environment that changes in temperature. The work environment will be between 32 degrees to 100 degrees.
