Summary
Perform general labor production tasks on an assigned line or work station. Slaughtering and boning of Pork.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Wash hogs and move them to prepare them for killing
  • Cut meat away from the bones
  • Trim fat and bruises off the meat
  • Peeling and wrapping of meat products
  • Boxing of Meats
  • Cryovacking, Wrapping and boxing of meat/animal parts

Education & Experience
Less than high school education required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is desirable. Previous packing, slaughtering, or boning experience is helpful.

Language Skills
Bilingual in Spanish is helpful.

Physical Demands
The employee (by themselves) must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally 70 or more. The employee must be able to withstand walking, lifting, bending, repetitive arm, shoulder and wrist motion.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures.
