Restaurant Manager
Summary
Responsible to meet customer service guidelines and direct the operation of the restaurant, attain sales and profit objectives, maintain high food quality standards, service, cleanliness and sanitation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
- Direct and supervise all establishment employees. Schedule staff in an effective manner ensuring sales volume and service levels.
- Ensure prompt, friendly service.
- Develop the banquet hall to its maximum potential.
- Monitor and maintain adequate food and beverage inventories.
- Assures the compliance with local, state, federal laws, regulations and guidelines. Teaches and enforces alcohol awareness. Establish a relationship with local authorities in alcohol related issues.
- Ensures timely product preparation and presentation meets acceptable standards. Checks lines to determine if sales volume is being met.
- Maintain establishment cleanliness and sanitation according to company guidelines and government standards.
- Complete required reports and documents. Responsible for all cash handling procedures.
- Maintain effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government regulation.
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.
- Coordinate the support activities that relate to the overall success of El Norteno. These include recreational, social and business meetings, weddings, special events, etc.
Education & Experience
High School education or equivalent is required. Associate or Bachelors degree in related field highly desirable. Three years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience required.
Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
Ability to obtain a Wisconsin Bartenders License
