Inventory Control Specialist

Summary
Assist in putting away and organizing production supplies and monitor inventory of ingredient/supply materials for production. Assist supervisors and line leads to make sure all supplies are available and on-hand to keep production running. Learn and cross-train on other inventory functions to fill in for vacations and absences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Take a daily count of supplies/verify production quantity needed daily
  • Assure that supplies are properly stored and put away
  • Works on projects that come up and need attention, such as inventory problems
  • Perform daily counts and re-counts as needed to complete bi-monthly cycle count book
  • Help in performing year-end inventory counts/month end tasks
  • Has knowledge of daily tasks that need to be done. 
  • Help target slow moving/obsolete products
  • Weekly counts
  • Investigate discrepancies and offer explanations and solutions
  • Daily verification of materials needed for production
  • Assist in organizing and putting away supplies
  • Assist in month end tasks

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED is required

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
Valid Driver’s License, Company Issued Forklift License
